11 Tips For Avoiding Plastics

  1. Consider buying foods in glass or metal containers.

  2. Give up the habit of eating canned foods linked to BPA, eat fresh produce instead.

  3. Check if the product contains BPA and other toxic chemicals when purchasing stuff, especially whenever plastic cannot be avoided.

  4. Avoid giving young children plastic teethers or toys.

  5. Do not heat food in plastic containers, or store fatty foods in plastic containers or plastic wrap.

  6. Use natural fiber clothing, bedding and furniture.

  7. When purchasing water bottles, opt for a glass water bottle or stainless steel.

  8. Same goes for reusable coffee and tea mugs.

  9. Try swapping plastic straws for paper or plastic-free (reusable) eco-alternatives.

  10. Beware of the Number 7, which indicates that it may or may not contain BPA.

  11. Always make sure that you take a look at the bottom of your products if you can’t avoid buying plastic materials.

These attempts may seem small, but your body and the environment will thank you for the extra effort that you’ve put in.
